Powder Coating
Minnesota Powder coater
Need a more durable finish on your parts? Minnesota Painter now applies electrostatic coatings to metal and other substrates for you. It is an ecologically friendly painting process. The benefits of powder coating are simple, it provides a scratch resistant, durable, baked on finish just like items you see and use every day. We are able to turn around your parts quickly to get you on the road with your project. Call for details and don't pay the large minimums that the factories require.
Why Powder Coat?
Painting is great for most substrates except metal. Especially metal that is being handled on a consistent basis. Motorcycle gas tanks, frames, car parts and rims are great examples of metal parts that should be powder coated instead of painted. Call for free advise if your doing it yourself or if you just have questions on how to paint a specific item.
Why is a painter powder coating?
People always bring us rims, car parts and other items to sandblast. They then take them to a "factory powder coating facility" where they are charged 250 to 350 minimum to get there parts powder coated. Then they have to wait about 2 weeks for there parts to be ready. They were asking us to supply them with a better powder coating source. We investigated the process, visited some plants and decided to extend powder coating services to our customers. Powder coating is a better way to paint certain items, Its as simple as that. Two part epoxy's are a great way to paint metal as well, however the cost and danger of breathing these fumes are not within the Minnesota Painter philosophy of doing business. We believe our environment is important enough to have ecologically friendly painting processes.
